Chic Picks: Get winter-ready with Qvendo!

Like all fashion lovers, I just need an excuse to shop! I like to think of it as “updating my wardrobe”. And now that there are some cool websites out there, all the more reason to get
“updated” more often.

I discovered QVENDO recently, and while browsing through their collections, I thought: “Hold on… here’s everything I need to be ready for the season!” Here’s my wishlist from their fab website. All of them are winter essentials that I’ve decoded, and added some fashion tips. Enjoy!

Clothes

True Religion shirt TR logo SS VNeck: The green is subdued, the neckline is flattering—it’s perfect for layering or to wear by itself.

Chic tip: V-necks are flattering for most body types, so don’t hesitate to buy a good one!

True Religion Longsleeve Horseshoe L/S TR: This heather gray full-sleeved shirt will keep me warm, but comfortable enough for Mumbai’s famously hot afternoons. I’m thinking of pairing it with a colourful scarf.

Chic tip: When shopping for cold weather, look for tops that you can layer easily by piling on a jacket, scarf or muffler. Neutrals are great to play winter mix-and-match.

True Religion Jeans TR Julie Dark Pony: If there’s one thing a girl or guy has gotta have from True Religion, it’s their jeans! And when you’re getting a bargain price for it, it’s a steal!

Chic tip: There are jeans, then there are some more jeans. Choose a comfy pair for winter with some detailing that will make your pair stand out from the rest of the hundreds of jeans out there!

Luis Trenker Vest Rosi Green Women: Waistcoats… bang on trend! And I love the floral buttons.

Chic tip: A cotton vest is versatile (you can pair it with almost anything), and will see you through winter and summer. Worth an investment.

Luis Trenker Sweater Michela LightGrey Women: This cute hoodie is perfect for autumn, winter and super-cold movie theatres.

Chic tip: Chunky hoodies and sweaters make you appear F-A-T! Look for non-bulky ones in lighter fabrics like cotton.

Luis Trenker Blazer Ruth Beige Women: A classic cotton-linen blazer with engraved buttons and pocket enclosures is immediately going into my office wear must-haves.

Chic tip: Blazers in light colours and fabrics are ideal for day wear.

Luis Trenker Dress Silke Grey Women: When worn with heeled boots and dark tights, this belted grey wool dress will make any girl look gorgeous.

Chic tip: Dress up a plain dress with a brooch or eye-catching earrings.

Accessories

Chic tip: When wearing animal print accessories, ensure the rest of your look isn’t as “fierce”, unless you’re playing Catwoman!

Chic tip: Don’t go overboard with your fashion experimentation. This quirky accessory will jazz up any outfit!

Chic tip: Subtle silver accessories are perfect for office and college. Pile on the bracelets for an evening out.

Replay Unisex Watch – Small (RH7102NND): I love gadgets, futuristic fashion and black. What better accessory for me than a cool watch? (And at Rs 3,400, it’s more than a steal).

Chic tip: Contrary to popular fashion belief, black watches can be worn by women, try one!
